Many clinicians are aware of the numerous benefits of the skills that Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) has to offer, and actively integrate skills training into their clinical work. However, therapists often struggle with fully understanding and implementing the model into individual therapy. This workshop is designed to help clinicians learn how to structure sessions that are compatible with the theoretical foundations of DBT.
DASC Chicago welcomes Molly McLeese, LCPC and Jaclyn Goldman, LSW who have expertise in the implementation of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).
Molly McLeese is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor at DASC. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Iowa and subsequently graduated from Illinois State University with her Master of Science degree in Clinical-Counseling Psychology. Prior to joining DASC, Ms. McLeese served as the Intake Coordinator and Staff Therapist for a private practice. Ms. McLeese has experience working with individuals with anxiety, depression, addiction, grief/loss, life transitions, and difficulty in relationships.
Jaclyn Goldman is a Licensed Social Worker at DASC. She graduated with a Master of Social Work from the University of Chicago School of Social Service Administration, with a specific concentration in clinical social work. Ms. Goldman utilizes a variety of evidence-based modalities with her clients, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and exposure and response prevention (ERP).
Ms. McLeese and Ms. Goldman co-lead DBT groups at DASC.
